About Greypike

Veterans and industry experts who built the solution we wish existed.

We set out to fix a problem we'd lived ourselves: small and mid-sized defense contractors priced out of CMMC by enterprise-scale consultants and overcomplicated, tool-heavy solutions.

So we built what we couldn't find — a complete, managed CMMC program that runs the environment your CUI lives in and owns the outcome end to end. Built for the small and mid-sized businesses that form the backbone of the Defense Industrial Base.

CMMC enforcement is active — contractors need to act now

We exist to keep small contractors in the fight.

Small and mid-sized contractors are the engine of the Defense Industrial Base — they build the components, deliver the specialized work, and support the programs that matter to national security.

But too many are being squeezed out of CMMC by complexity and cost. Compliance shouldn't demand a full-time team, an enterprise IT budget, or six months of disruption.

We built Greypike to change that. We pair real practitioners with AI that handles the heavy lifting — expert-led and AI-accelerated — so enterprise-grade compliance becomes attainable, sized and priced for the businesses that actually need it.

We own the outcome

We don't hand you a checklist and walk away. We run the environment your CUI lives in and own the CMMC result — end to end.

Transparency first

We publish our pricing and explain our scope. You know what's in and what's out before you sign anything.

You own your environment

We build in your cloud account. You own it — so if you ever leave, everything comes with you. No leverage, no lock-in.

Built for the mission

We're veterans and industry experts who know what's at stake in the DIB. This isn't just a business — it's a commitment to the contractors who support national defense.

Our Story

The mission continues.

The uniform comes off. The mission never ends.

David founded Greypike in late 2024 on a simple conviction: service doesn’t stop when you hang up the uniform. After a career in USAF intelligence and special operations, he saw a new front line forming — not on a battlefield overseas, but inside the networks, supply chains, and small businesses that build and sustain America’s defense capabilities. The Defense Industrial Base had become one of the most contested battlegrounds in the fight to protect the nation. Greypike is how he keeps fighting on it.

Why “Greypike”?

The name reaches back more than five hundred years.

In the 1400s, pikemen stood at the very front of the formation — the first line of defense. Armed with the pike, a spear nearly twenty feet long, they formed a disciplined wall that broke cavalry charges and held the line so everyone behind them could do their job. The pike wasn’t a weapon of glory. It was a weapon of resolve. You planted it, you held your ground, and you did not move.

That pike is our logo, and that legacy is our standard.

The grey is where we operate. Today’s threats don’t announce themselves on open battlefields — they live in the grey space: hybrid, asymmetric, ambiguous, and everywhere at once. Success in modern defense doesn’t happen in black and white. It happens in the grey, where adversaries probe, where compliance meets reality, and where the hard problems live. We learned to operate there in uniform. We thrive there now.

A strong defense, planted firmly in the grey. That’s Greypike.

Holding the Line for the DIB

The Defense Industrial Base is under constant attack.

The contractors, manufacturers, and innovators of the DIB face everything from nation-state adversaries hunting Controlled Unclassified Information to the crushing complexity of the compliance landscape itself. Most of these companies don’t have a security team. Many don’t know where to start. All of them are essential to national defense.

We stand in front of them.

Greypike delivers CMMC compliance, managed GCC High and Google Assured Workloads environments, CUI enclave architecture, and security built specifically for the companies that arm, equip, and support the warfighter. We don’t sell checkbox compliance — we build real defenses, the kind that hold when tested.

Strengthening the Line

A mission like this is never held alone.

In 2025, Rob joined Greypike, bringing deep cybersecurity expertise and the technology leadership that helps DoD contractors turn compliance into real, defensible security. His experience building and running secure environments for the defense industrial base sharpens how Greypike delivers — pairing the founder’s operational discipline with the engineering depth to execute it at scale. You’ll meet the full team below.

Veteran-Owned. Mission-Driven.

Being a veteran-owned company is more than a label. It means we understand what’s actually at stake when CUI leaks or a supply chain is compromised. It means we bring operational discipline, not just technical skill. And it means we measure success the way we always have: did we protect the mission?

Five centuries ago, pikemen stood out front so the line would hold. Today, that’s exactly where you’ll find us.

Greypike. First line of defense through compliance.

Our team

Our Values

What we stand on.

Five centuries ago, pikemen held the line through discipline, not noise. The same principles shape how we work today — every engagement, every environment, every client.

01

Hold the line

Compliance isn’t a milestone you pass and forget. We plant ourselves in front of your environment and stay there — through assessments, audits, and the threats that never stop. We don’t move.

02

Own the outcome

We don’t hand you a checklist and wish you luck. We take responsibility for the result — the SSP, the evidence, the score, the readiness — and measure ourselves by whether you’re actually secure and actually compliant.

03

Real defense, not checkbox compliance

A passing score that doesn’t stop an adversary isn’t a win. We build defenses that hold when tested — security that protects the mission, with compliance as the proof, not the point.

04

Operate in the grey

The hard problems don’t live in black and white. They live in the grey — where requirements are ambiguous, scopes are messy, and adversaries probe. We learned to work there in uniform. We thrive there now.

Who we serve

Built for the contractors the big firms overlook.

We focus on the small and mid-sized businesses of the Defense Industrial Base — and the federal contractors who handle CUI alongside them — the ones that need real compliance without enterprise overhead.

Greypike is built for you if…

  • You're a small or mid-sized defense contractor — roughly 10 to 200 employees.
  • You handle, or are about to handle, CUI or FCI on DoD contracts.
  • You're a federal contractor handling CUI for any agency — defense or civilian — under NIST 800-171.
  • A prime is pushing CMMC down to you, or you're pursuing work that requires it.
  • You want compliance handled — not a pile of tools and a checklist to run yourself.
  • You need enterprise-grade security at a price a small business can actually carry.

We may not be the fit if…

  • You're a large enterprise with a full in-house security and compliance team.
  • You need a C3PAO to perform your certification assessment — that's a separate, independent role.
  • You have no federal contracts and no CUI or FCI to protect.
